1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Freedom mobile applications and website (together, the “Platform”) operated by Minepost Technologies Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It explains what information we process, why we process it, how we share and protect it, and the choices available to you.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile settings.
  • Workspace content: prompts, conversations, feedback, saved research briefs, source material, and other content you choose to provide.
  • File imports: screenshots or documents you submit for extraction and the details you review and confirm.
  • Support information: the details you provide when you contact us.
  • Subscription information: product, entitlement, transaction, and renewal details supplied by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full card number.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, and identifiers where permitted.
  • Usage and diagnostics: feature interactions, request timing, crash data, error logs, IP address, and security events.
  • Source and artifact metadata: citations, timestamps, run status, and metadata needed to keep your research workspace available.

3. Uploaded source material

Uploaded file bytes are used only to process the authenticated import request and the AI extraction request. We do not write temporary screenshot bytes to our product database. We may retain limited metadata such as filename, file type, byte size, a cryptographic hash, extraction warnings, and the information you confirm.

Freedom asks you to review extracted information before it is saved. Please avoid including unrelated personal or sensitive information in uploaded material.

4. How we use information

  • Provide persistent chats, AI-assisted research, citations, workspace context, and structured briefs.
  • Authenticate your account, maintain subscriptions, and keep the Platform secure.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, evaluate, and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
  • Detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

5. AI processing

Freedom uses server-side AI systems to process prompts, extract information you ask us to extract, select research tools, and create responses and structured artifacts. Relevant workspace context may be sent to our AI provider to perform these tasks. Provider credentials and private model reasoning are not sent to your device.

AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. Important claims should be checked against the cited evidence and reviewed by the user before they are relied upon.

6. When we share information

We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Platform. These categories currently include:

  • Cloud infrastructure and database: Fly.io and Neon Postgres.
  • AI and authentication: Google services, including Vertex AI and sign-in services.
  • Subscription processing: the payment provider or marketplace presented at checkout.
  • Diagnostics and communications: providers used for app analytics, error monitoring, and transactional messages.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the Platform, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Retention

We retain account and workspace information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Diagnostic and security logs are kept for limited operational periods. When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify eligible information, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup requirements.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, restricted server-side credentials, logging, and secure development practices. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; ask for information about processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or raise a grievance. You may also manage app permissions in your device settings and subscriptions through the store where you purchased them.

To make a privacy request, email support@freedomapp.in. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Children

Freedom is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Third-party links and sources

Research citations and other parts of the Platform may link to third-party websites. Their content and privacy practices are governed by their own terms and policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy as the Platform or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
